Import and trading with Brito’s Food International
Brito’s Food International is the trading and distribution division of the Brito’s Group of Companies. This division annually imports and trades approximately 100 000 mt of food products, via the two main South African ports situated in Cape Town and Durban, to a selected client base in all regions of South Africa. Sales and distribution is overseen by a team of dedicated meat traders with combined experience of 40-plus years in the industry and sound knowledge of all commodities sold, as well as the cyclical trends and requirements of the industry.
The monthly import requirements of Brito’s Food International is procured from a global network of suppliers in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and the Middle East. A dedicated logistics team oversees the administration of all shipments to ensure a smooth delivery schedule for all companies in the Brito’s Group and their affected clients. All imported products are subjected to various hygienic and bacterial testing procedures before export to South Africa and conform to the highest veterinary and hygienic standards as prescribed by the European Union.
Not just about meat
Although the main focus of Brito’s Food International is meat and poultry products, the division also imports venison, seafood, vegetables, and dry goods according to the requirements of its client base.
